However if you have identical stats with another student, say you are both mate, biology majors with identical 3.7 gpa&#039;s and they only have 1 spot open, and the other guy has a minor in chemistry, chances are they will give it to him (assuming MCATS and extra curriculars are the same as well.

If its attainable, go for it, if its going to hurt your gpa, then some extra volunteer work may be a better plan</description>
